Building on his past marches and his military experience, Jérôme Samuel will once again gladly give of himself for the AISP and FNAME-OPEX as part of the 70th anniversary event of the Blue Helmets, to support soldiers on foreign missions and to honor the memory of all those who lost their lives to preserve peace in the world.

This march, which starts from the United Nations headquarters in Geneva and ends in Paris at the UNESCO headquarters, will aim to convey the UN’s message of peace through the various French municipalities crossed by our marcher. Jérôme Samuel, a former Blue Helmet who has been decorated several times, will begin his march on Thursday, May 31, and will complete it on Sunday, June 24, 2018. He will cover a total of more than 600 km in just 26 days, which averages about 25 km per day.

Through this march and the physical and mental courage it requires, Jérôme Samuel will honor the bravery of the Blue Helmets, men and women, who over the past seventy years have fought and continue to fight to maintain peace.
